John Oliver with François Houle - Ouroboros Hymn

from Isolation Journal 4 - Friends by John Oliver

/

about

A collaboration between clarinetist and composer François Houle and composer John Oliver. This remix is derived from the François Houle composition called "Diegesis of the Tongue". Oliver transforms Houle's breathy sounds into a hymn and the slap-tongue sounds become a relentless beat. Ouroboros is an ancient symbol of a snake that eats its tail. It was adopted as a symbol in Gnosticism and Hermeticism and most notably in alchemy.
